Be Perfect!

“My dream is to become perfect!”
T. 5 years old

In one of the schools where I worked, one of the children once declared: “My dream is to become perfect!” These words stayed with me for hours, days, weeks. I started to passionately wonder, interrogate myself around the society pressure we live nowadays, the education system, our inner child, adults expectations and so on. I started to realize how many times I heard the expression ‘good girl’, ‘good boy’, ‘be good’ and I couldn’t avoid feeling overwhelmed, I had headaches, I felt sick.

I stopped, took few deep breathes and I explored a bit my inner child and how I, we actually feel as adults, all of us really, trying our best, juggling in our ‘busy lives’ trying to ‘be good’, to ‘be perfect’, how exhausting I thought. Give me a break!

Have you ever felt exhausted, trying to be perfect?

Have you felt that something needs to shift in your life?

You are not alone in this feeling and we can step by step reconnect with our pure essence, our Moonchild, our inner self, unbecoming who we truly are in order to remember who we could be.
Who we are without conditioning, rich of humanity and unicity.
Who we are without expectations and rich of playfulness and curiosity.
As Dr Sophie Mort said “we are not raised to understand ourselves. We are not taught to understand our emotions or who we were at a young age. Instead, we are raised to fear them and experience shame whenever any kind of distress arises.”
We learn to push down our emotions, feelings, thoughts, we learn to be good and don’t make a fuss! Put on a brave face, ‘You’re okay!’, ‘Stop it!’, ‘Not a big deal!’
And life goes on…

When did we start to let go of our pure essence, who we are, in order to become a good girl?
Why is the current society connecting and advancing more and more meanwhile we disconnect from our intuition, soul and body moving away from who we truly are?
Are you thrilled to be alive?
When was the last time you feel alive? Connected?

When was the last time you were ‘you’? Just you, without being afraid of what the society thinks about it?
What can we do to start the journey of going back ‘home’ within ourselves?
If you have felt that something needs to shift in your life, then, you are not alone in this journey!
We can step by step explore together possibilities to gradually find the invisible way to our true self!
Does your heart know the invisible way?

As the surfer Jerry Lopez voiced, “we need dedication to ride our waves, no one can ride them for you. However, we can inspire each other along the way we will encounter doubts, guilt, fears, losing our way. We can eventually with tiny steps find the balance to catch the waves and enjoy the ride!”
These are our waves, the waves of life and when we feel free to be ourselves, to feel the breeze on your face while you are riding them, when we feel free to be human and vulnerable, when we feel allowed to fall, when we try and try until we find the balance to stand, reconnecting with our body, mind and soul, with our Moonchild, then we are able to enjoy the ride.
